Mr. Madsen’s practice involves litigation, counseling employees on personnel, labor, benefits and workplace safety matters, representing and advising employers in union-management labor relations, collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration proceedings, and labor law, in National Labor Relations Board proceedings, and the like.
Mr. Madsen successfully represented a major brewery in resolving boycotts of the brewery’s products by the AFL-CIO and Teamsters International Union. He is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment matters and maintaining a union-free workplace.
Mr. Madsen has served in various capacities with regional colleges and universities. He has taught at the Colorado School of Mines in the areas of Mineral Economics, Labor and with the McBride Honors Program since 1972. Mr. Madsen served on the University of Wyoming’s Advisory Council to the College of Business. He also was a Board Member and co-chaired fundraising for the University’s new Art Museum and American Heritage Center. Mr. Madsen also served as President of the Wyoming Foundation Board for two consecutive terms. Mr. Madsen was selected by his peers for membership in the prestigious National College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
